Printen.eu for AI assistants (MCP)

With our public MCP server, an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude can search our catalogue, configure a product, get the live price and delivery time and create a link to order it on Printen.eu. Uploading your file and paying always happen on our own site.

Server URL

The URL is https://www.printen.eu/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP, JSON). No account or key is needed.

Connect

Claude

In Claude, open Customize and then Connectors.
Choose Add custom connector.
Use Printen.eu as the name and https://www.printen.eu/api/mcp as the URL. Choose No sign in; do not add tokens or request headers.
Enable the connector in a chat and ask, for example: what do 500 business cards cost?

ChatGPT

Once Printen.eu is listed in the ChatGPT app directory, search for Printen.eu there and choose Connect.
If your account permits it: open Plugins, select + and Add custom MCP server. Use https://www.printen.eu/api/mcp without authentication. Review the risk warning yourself; account and workspace policies apply.

Tools

Tool	What it does
search_products	Searches the catalogue. Returns product cards with photo, short description, from-price incl. VAT and product link.
get_product_options	All options of a product with allowed values, sizes, quantities, delivery times and file requirements.
quote_price	Live price for a configuration and delivery country: excl. and incl. VAT, shipping, total and expected delivery.
create_cart_link	Link to the product page with the chosen options already selected. Upload your file and check out there.
request_quote	Quote request for custom work. Our team replies by email.
order_status	Status, dates and tracking of an order. The order number and email address must both match.
file_guidelines	Artwork requirements: file types, resolution, bleed, colour profile and the template per product.

How ordering works

The assistant finds a product, loads its options, calculates the price and gives you an order link. On Printen.eu you check the choices, upload or design your file and pay. Nothing is ever ordered or paid through MCP.

Limits

Price calculations go live to our print partners, so there is a limit per conversation, per IP address and in total. Above the limit you get a message with the number of seconds until the next attempt. Quote requests and order status have an extra limit per hour and per email address.

Privacy

The server never returns customer data, addresses or other orders. A quote request is stored as a support request with the details you provide. See also our privacy policy. /en/privacy
