Which sticker do you need?

A sticker for a shop window needs something different from one on a van or on a shop floor. Look up where your sticker goes below and you will see straight away which type fits and what to watch out for.

Terms you will come across

Monomeric or polymeric film

Monomeric film is affordable and suits flat surfaces and shorter periods. Polymeric film is more flexible, shrinks less and lasts longer, also on slightly curved parts such as a car door. For strongly curved vehicle parts choose cast film.

Permanent or removable

Permanent adhesive stays put for the life of the sticker. Removable adhesive comes off later without residue, handy for temporary campaigns and furniture.

Laminate

A clear protective layer over the print. Laminate protects against scratches and sunlight. On the floor the laminate is non-slip.

Kiss-cut or contour

With kiss-cut only the sticker is cut and the backing stays whole: you peel the sticker out. With contour cutting the sticker is cut out completely, backing included.

PVC-free and bio-based

For a more sustainable choice there are PVC-free and bio-based films. You will find them under material in the configurator.

Supplying your file

  • Supply at the size you order, with 3 mm extra background all round as bleed.
  • Keep text and logos a few millimetres from the cut line so nothing gets trimmed.
  • Use at least 150 DPI at actual size for photos; for small stickers with fine text, 300 DPI is better.

Sticker FAQ

Which sticker is waterproof?

Vinyl and plastic (PP) stickers can handle water. Paper stickers cannot; choose PP or add laminate.

Can I remove a sticker later?

Yes, choose a removable film, as with the furniture sticker or static window film. Permanent adhesive is not meant for that.

Which sticker do I use outdoors?

Vinyl stickers, vehicle stickers and window stickers are suitable outdoors. With laminate they last longer in sun and rain.

What is the difference between rolls and sheets?

Stickers on a roll are for large numbers and fast labelling. Sticker sheets suit small numbers and several designs.

Can I order stickers in my own shape?

Yes, with kiss-cut, vinyl, holographic and domed stickers the cut line follows the shape of your design.

Can I order as a business?

Yes. You get an invoice in your company name, and within the EU the VAT is reverse charged with a valid VAT number.
