Custom polo shirts, printed or embroidered with your logo

Seven polo shirts, two ways to order

This range covers seven polo shirts with a collar and button placket. Five are fully configurable: the Fruit of the Loom 65/35 piqué, the Gildan Softstyle, the Stanley/Stella Coaster, the B&C ID.001 and the Tee Jays Luxury Stretch. On those you decide, position by position, whether the logo is embroidered, transfer printed or screen printed, and you order anything from 1 to 1000 pieces. Alongside them sit two Gildan piqué polos, the unisex 64800 and the women's 64800L, each produced individually once you order. Those focus on a single chest logo, printed or stitched, in set quantities from 1 to 500. Pick one of the first five when you want control over every detail, and a Gildan when you simply need one or a handful quickly.

Poly blend, cotton, organic or stretch

Fabric decides how a polo wears and how it looks after months of washing. The Fruit of the Loom uses a piqué of 65% polyester and 35% cotton at 180 g/m². The polyester keeps creasing low and helps it dry fast, which makes it a sensible base for staff clothing that goes through the machine every week. The Gildan Softstyle and the B&C ID.001 are both cotton at 180 g/m² with a straight, traditional cut. The Stanley/Stella Coaster weighs 185 g/m² in organic cotton and has a slim fit that sits closer to the body. Heaviest of the group is the Tee Jays Luxury Stretch: 215 g/m², 95% cotton and 5% elastane, also slim fit. That touch of elastane gives freedom of movement for jobs that involve lifting, reaching or bending.

Polo shirt embroidery, transfer or screen print

Embroidery is the traditional finish for a logo on a polo. The thread sits in the fabric, feels substantial and looks right on anyone who meets customers. On the Fruit of the Loom, Gildan Softstyle, B&C and Tee Jays you can embroider the left and right chest with up to twelve thread colours. The Stanley/Stella Coaster has no embroidery option, so there you choose transfer or screen print. Transfer printing is full colour and available from a single polo, useful for gradients, small lettering or a photo. Screen printing uses 1 to 4 Pantone colours and starts at 10 pieces. For a flat one or two colour logo across a large group, it is usually the obvious route. On the two individually produced Gildan polos you choose between a printed chest logo and an embroidered one.

Six places to put your logo

The five configurable polos offer six positions: front, back, left chest, right chest, left sleeve and right sleeve. For each one you pick a technique or leave it blank. A popular layout is an embroidered logo on the left chest with a web address or slogan large across the back, for example for an exhibition crew or a team that needs to stand out in a sports hall. A sleeve suits a small icon, a year or a sponsor. Start with the chest as your main position and only then add extras. Each additional position adds to the cost, so it pays to think about where the logo will genuinely be seen.

A single polo as a gift or a sample

Want to see how your logo looks on a polo before committing, or need one personalised shirt for a leaving present or a club anniversary? The Gildan 64800 and 64800L are the quickest option. They are made one at a time with no minimum, in Black, Navy, Sport Grey and White. The unisex version runs from S to 4XL, while the women's version has a fitted cut from S to 2XL. The women's polo is cotton, with only Sport Grey containing 10% polyester. A sample also makes sense before a large run of one of the other models: you can check the chest logo size and let colleagues try it on.

Polos for staff, clubs and teams

A shop floor team, a reception desk, a sports club or restaurant staff usually need a larger batch in one go. On the five configurable polos the unit price drops from 10 pieces, again from 25 and once more from 50. So it is better to order every size together than to split it into small orders. Each order line carries one design. If you need two versions, say with and without a job title, you add two lines. You can have the polos individually bagged, which helps when you hand them out or post them to separate people. For turnaround you choose standard, a day earlier, fast or rush. Looking for aprons, chef jackets or other work textiles too? Have a look at workwear and hospitality.

Men's and women's sizing

Each configurable polo comes with a men's and a women's fit in the same model, so a mixed team still looks consistent. Fruit of the Loom and Stanley/Stella Coaster run from S to 5XL for men and XS to XXL for women. The B&C ID.001 covers men's XS to 4XL and women's XS to 3XL. The Tee Jays goes from S to 5XL for men and S to 3XL for women. The Gildan Softstyle offers men's sizes up to 4XL and women's S to XXL. Bear in mind that not every colour exists in every size. Some shades are missing in 4XL and 5XL or in the women's cut, and the configurator only shows combinations that can actually be supplied.

Matching your brand colours

The number of fabric colours varies a lot between models. The Tee Jays has 22, including Denim, Clay, Ice blue and Dark olive. The B&C comes in 20, among them Atoll, Fuchsia, Pixel Coral and Real Green. Fruit of the Loom offers 16, from Deep navy to Sunflower. The Stanley/Stella Coaster has 15, with softer tones such as Natural raw, Cotton pink and Khaki. The Gildan Softstyle has 14, including Daisy, Sapphire and Sand. For a calm corporate look, black, white, navy and grey appear in almost every model. Choose a thread or ink colour with enough contrast against the fabric so the logo still reads from a few metres away.

Supplying your artwork

Ideally send your logo as a vector file or PDF, although a sharp PNG or JPG with enough resolution works too. For screen printing, state the Pantone references so the ink matches your brand. Embroidery works best with clear shapes and lines that are not too thin, because very fine detail and tiny lettering are hard to form in thread. Keep important elements away from seams and the button placket. Unsure about the size of the chest logo? Order a single polo as a test first. Other printed tops such as T-shirts and vests are under shirts and tops, and the full textile range sits under clothing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I order just one polo shirt with my logo?

Yes. The Gildan 64800 and 64800L are produced individually and available from one piece, with a printed or embroidered chest logo. The five configurable polos also accept a single piece with transfer or embroidery; screen printing on those starts at 10.

Which polos can be embroidered?

The Fruit of the Loom 65/35, Gildan Softstyle, B&C ID.001 and Tee Jays Luxury Stretch can be embroidered on the left and right chest with up to twelve colours. The Gildan 64800 and 64800L offer an embroidered chest logo. Only the Stanley/Stella Coaster has no embroidery option.

At what quantity do printed polos get cheaper?

On the five configurable models the price per polo falls from 10 pieces, and again from 25 and from 50. For a team it is worth putting every size into one order.

Which polo is the most sustainable choice?

The Stanley/Stella Coaster is organic cotton at 185 g/m². It has a slim fit, comes in 15 colours and can be decorated by transfer or screen print in six positions.

Which polo copes best with heavy daily use?

For polos that are washed often, the Fruit of the Loom with 65% polyester is a practical pick, as it resists creasing and dries fast. People who move a lot will appreciate the Tee Jays with 5% elastane.

Can each polo carry a different name?

Each order line holds one design, so a different name or role per polo means a separate line. That is easiest on the models you can order from a single piece.
