Black Forex® with a premium, dark look

Black Forex® is a light yet rigid PVC foam board that is black all the way through. There is no white core, so the edges of your board are black too. That gives a clean, high-end look you do not get with a standard white board. We print your design directly onto the board, in full colour on a white underlayer. Your colours stay bright and easy to read, while the black of the board stays visible wherever you want it.

Choose 3 mm or 5 mm

You choose the thickness. The 3 mm board weighs about 1.5 kg per m², is affordable and ideal for name signs, menu boards, presentations and indoor wall decoration. You can order it in any size from 40 x 40 to 199 x 300 cm, landscape or portrait, rectangular or cut to the shape of your design. The 5 mm board is extra rigid and stays nicely flat even at large sizes. With 5 mm you can also choose drill holes in the corners and printing on both sides.

What is black Forex® used for?

Businesses use black Forex® for reception signs, wayfinding in offices and shops, menu boards in hospitality and presentation boards at trade fairs and events. It also works beautifully as wall decoration: a dark logo, a quote in bright letters or a photo with deep shadows stands out even more on black material. Because the board is smooth and flat, your print looks crisp and professional.

You decide where the white goes

On black material, the white underlayer makes all the difference. Choose full fill and white goes under your whole design, with nothing extra to prepare in your file. Want to play with the black of the board instead? Choose white that you mark yourself with a spot colour. Areas without white seem to blend into the black background, creating a subtle and exclusive effect.

Your size, your shape

A board can stay rectangular or be cut to the shape of your design. A simple shape, such as a circle or rounded corners, and a complex shape with lots of detail, such as a logo or silhouette, are both possible. Supply the cut line as a separate spot colour in your PDF.

Indoor use, short-term outdoor

Black Forex® is intended for indoor use, where it lasts two to five years on average. For an event or a short promotion the board can also stand outside for a while, ideally under a canopy. If you need a sign that withstands the weather for years, choose a weather-resistant facade sign or advertising board.

How to supply your file

Supply a PDF at the size you order, with a resolution of at least 100 DPI and preferably 150 DPI. Keep text and logos at least 1 cm from the edge. If you choose white in marked areas or a custom shape, create a separate, named spot colour for it. We check your file before it goes into production. Not sure about your design?
