Connect Amazon: sell on Amazon.nl, .de, .fr and .be

6 min readUpdated

With the Amazon connection you list your products on Amazon and we automatically fetch paid orders with your SKUs. We print and ship neutrally under your name and report the tracking code back to Amazon. Amazon has strict rules for sellers who have someone else produce their goods; this article explains what to set up and what to watch out for.

What does the Amazon connection do?

You give us access to your Amazon seller account. You can then list products on Amazon, we fetch new orders every 15 minutes and we only forward the lines whose SKU matches an active product of yours. Other products in your Amazon shop stay yours.

What do you need at Amazon?

You arrange these things with Amazon yourself, before connecting. We cannot do this for you, because you are the seller.

  • A Professional seller account in Europe (39 euros per month excl. VAT). The connection does not work with an Individual account.
  • A brand: your own brand name that Amazon accepts for your products. If you have no EAN codes, apply for a GTIN exemption for that brand and category in Seller Central.
  • Your German packaging registration (LUCID number) if you sell on Amazon.de, and the French registrations if you sell on Amazon.fr. Amazon blocks listings without these numbers.
  • Your product safety details (GPSR): the manufacturer and a responsible person in the EU. Ask us for the right details for your products.
  • A return address in your Amazon settings. If you sell in Germany, France, Italy or Spain, Amazon asks for a return address in that country or a free return label.

How do you connect your Amazon account?

  1. Open Connections

In your dashboard, go to the Connections tab and choose the marketplace where your account is registered under Amazon, for example the Netherlands.

  2. Log in to Amazon

Click Connect. You are taken to Seller Central. Log in with your seller account.

  3. Give permission

Amazon shows which permissions we ask for: listings, prices, inventory, orders and shipping details. Confirm with Confirm.

  4. Back in your dashboard

You return to Connections. Your shop is now shown as active, with the marketplaces you sell on.

How do you put products on Amazon?

On a product, choose Publish to Amazon. We create the listing with your title, description, retail price and photos. We find the Amazon product type automatically. We set up your Amazon brand name once for you: send us the brand for which Amazon approved your GTIN exemption.

  • Your SKU may be at most 40 characters on Amazon.
  • Your retail price includes VAT, as Amazon requires.
  • Amazon has no drafts, so a new listing first gets quantity 0. Check it in Seller Central and set the quantity there to 25, for example, to make it sellable.
  • If you change the title, text, price or photos with us, we update the listing on Amazon. We leave the quantity as it is.
  • By default we only list on Amazon.nl, because your texts are in one language. If you also want Amazon.de or .fr, send us a message and provide texts in that language.

How does personalisation (Amazon Custom) work?

With Amazon Custom the buyer enters a name, text or choice. You set this up per product in Seller Central. We automatically read what the buyer entered and add it to the order line.

Which Amazon rules must you follow?

Amazon allows someone else to produce and ship for you, but only if you remain the seller for the buyer. That is why our shipping is always neutral: no packing slip, invoice or logo of ours in the parcel.

  • You are the seller: you are on the packing slip, you provide the invoice and you handle returns. Add your own details under white label.
  • Invoice to the buyer: upload your invoice in Seller Central or let Amazon create it with the VAT Calculation Service. Business buyers expect it quickly.
  • Handling time: set a handling time that matches the production time of your product. We ship within that time if your balance is sufficient in time.
  • Performance: Amazon wants more than 95% valid tracking codes, less than 4% late shipments and less than 2.5% cancellations by you. We report tracking automatically.
  • VAT: Amazon does not pay VAT for you as an EU seller. If you sell more than 10,000 euros a year to consumers in other EU countries, you file through OSS.
  • Personalised products are exempt from the 14 day right of withdrawal. You must still replace or refund defective products.

What does selling on Amazon cost?

You pay these costs to Amazon, separate from your price with us. Include them in your retail price. Amounts were checked in October 2026 and may change; check Seller Central for your own category.
