Choosing type and size

Electric: plug it into the socket and within a few minutes it is up to temperature. Ideal if you brand regularly or in batches. The electric models are from the ALK, HLP and S series; the model is shown after each size in the list.

Manual heating: you heat the copper head on a gas burner or hob. A budget friendly choice if you only brand now and then.

Pick a size that suits your product. Small sizes fit leather, cork and small wooden items, large sizes suit crates, planks and boards. Not sure? Put a piece of paper on your product and sketch the size.

Supplying your logo

Upload your logo when you order. Use simple, bold lines of at least 0.5 mm and avoid very small text: fine details fill in with the heat. A vector file (PDF, SVG or AI) is preferred.

Safety tips

• Work on a heat resistant surface and never leave the iron unattended
• Keep children and pets at a distance
• Make sure there is good ventilation, branding produces smoke
• Test on an offcut of the same material first to find the right time and pressure
• Let the iron cool down completely before storing it
