The Trodat Printy is one of the best-known stamp ranges, found on countless desks, counters and workbenches. It is a self-inking stamp in light plastic: press it down and the text plate picks up ink from the built-in pad by itself. The window on top shows which stamp you are holding, handy when you keep several of them.

Rectangular, square or round?

The rectangular Printy is the classic choice for addresses and company details. For a short name or initials, the minis 4907 (13 x 6 mm) and 4908 (15 x 7 mm) are ideal. For name, address and phone number, the 4912 at 47 x 18 mm gives you room for five lines. Long and narrow models such as the 4916 at 70 x 10 mm work nicely for a website or account number.

The square models from 12 to 40 mm are great for a logo or a loyalty card stamp. The round Printy stamps run from 12 to 50 mm and give the look of a seal, for example for a club, practice or online shop.

Preparing your file

A stamp prints in one colour, so send your design without gradients or photos. Lines of at least 0.2 mm and letters at least 2 mm tall stay clearly legible. On the mini sizes, less text really is more. We prefer a vector PDF or SVG, but a sharp PNG or JPG works too. Keep 1 mm free from the edge.

Good to know

Stamp on a flat, firm surface for the sharpest impression. If it gets lighter after a while, replace the ink pad. Order different texts as separate lines in your cart.
